We worked with a visualization practice called "Spheres of Mind" designed to strengthen concentrattion and stretch our ideas about the limits of the mind.
A few of the observations that came up were:
- It seemed more challenging to visualize behind our body than in front or beside.
- Some automatically connected the direction to a specific place and even person.
- The idea of imagining we were facing east came up.
- Some found the incorporation of movement in the exercise made it easier to maintain the visualisation, compared to other versions they had tried.
- The feeling of spaciousness or a less limited awareness was noticed (this is one common outcome but was not including when describing the exercise.)
