After sitting and walking meditation, we read and discussed short Lion's Roar article (not available online as of today) by Zachiah Murray on gathas - short verses that can bring us into the present:
Reciting gathas is a good way to meditate while engaged in any activity, be it sacred or mundane. Joining the breath, the mind, and the activity of the body, the practice invites us into a deep, direct experience of our environment and our self.
We explored this as a group, then broke out into pairs to think of opportunities to apply this in our day-to-day. Kayaking, waking up, and writing email came up. Interesting!
